Detailsview and Gridview update event not firing Hi, I'm currently on my first asp. I'm having trouble using the Detailsview control, I can display the information within the default boundfields and include a edit, delete buttons which botth work fine. But, now the update event doesn't seems to fire and clicking it doesn't do anything. Please help i've been stuck on this for ages, I can find any examples which use a Label control's text doesn't appear to be set in the page which has a user control when trying to update the text property in the FormView's ItemUpdated event Hi There,I have a user control which hosts a formview control, gridview control and a label control.

The grid view is usedto show rows in the DB and when clicked to edit each row, a form view opens up in edit mode with that particular row info. So I have nothing in the item template. The sqldatasource update sql looks correct. How do I update from two DetailsView controls using thebuilt-in Update button of one control? I have two DetailsView Controls. I want to update my database with the values in both the first and second DetailsView controls when I click the Update button on the first control.

Actually, I want to do the same thing with the Insert Add button. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I set the SelectMethod to various values depending on the user's choices.

I also dynamically create the UpdateParameters when the user clicks an Update button. Everything appears to be wired up correctly the correct values are sent to the database when the Update button is clicked and I want various data bound DropDownList controls to be refreshed to reflect the updated data.

So, heres the deal.. I have a page with: The updatepanel has one trigger: I want to use the dropdownlist to filter items. In the Datasource Selecting event I do this: SelectedValue;Now the problem is that SelectedValue still contains the previous value, i think because the datasource loads it's data before the control is updated. Updating Fires, but Updated does not fire. I have a databound control that has the datasource set dynamically.

The datasource is a custom business object. I have a button inside a row with the command name set to 'Update'. I have event handlers for both the Updating, and Updated event. The updating event fires, but the updated event does not fire.
